The original project of bassist and composer Yann Vissac (one of Koi Child’s seven founding members) formed in 2018 when he recruited Yoann Degioanni (keys/synth) and Miles Gilbert (drums) for a live debut.
Reminiscent of Badbadnotgood, Bonobo, Robert Glasper, Hiatus Kaiyote and Thundercat, the band deepened their evocative and dynamic sound with the addition of saxophonist Alannah Chapman, percussionist Lipe Campos (aka. Dirty Hands Beats).
Inspired by jazz, soul, hip hop and even late Romanticism, razor-sharp rhythms, sensuous saxophone and luxurious keys are expertly played by musicians with a love of their craft, creating an immersive sound world which boldly explores the scope of human emotion.
